Today I share with you a message that you hear on Saturday and deeply touched my heart, I hope you will too: Explains a well-known story: Jesus turns water into wine. Before joining the story worth mentioning highlight three main features of water: it is colorless (it has no color), odor (it has no odor) and tasteless (it has no flavor). In stark contrast to the wine. Those who know wine define it by its color, smell and taste.
I ask you directly: Any area of your life is like water? Without color, smell or taste? You know very well what is there, or perhaps all your life! God still today transformed water into wine!
The Gospel of John 2 tells it this way: "On the third day a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. . They also were invited to the wedding Jesus and his disciples "Here we find:
the first key for God to change water into wine: Check that Jesus is in the party (in that area of your life) "When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Woman, what does that have to do with me? Jesus answered. It has not yet my time. His mother said to the servants: Do whatever he tells you ".
The second key: Do what He commands. "There were six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial purification. In each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants -Llenen the jars with water. And the servants filled it to the brim. "You can imagine that fill stone jars that could hold 100 liters was not easy! At that time there were no taps or pipes. What they did was to go to a well (cistern), fill with water a sort of bucket, poured it into the jar of stone and repeating this until embers full. Now ... looking naturally this made no sense !!! What was needed was wine and Jesus tells them to fill the jars with water!
The third key is: work with what you have on hand, work with what you get! The good thing is no water but what God does with water. Also see these servants must have been persistent in their work despite not see any change. Maybe they were tired again and again fill the jars with plain water. However they did it to the edge! The fourth key is the answer to what I always asked God: How long? And God says: Until the edge! "Now draw some out and take it to the banquet manager -Les Jesus he said. They did. "Can you imagine the person who was leading the charge that that he was still water ?! Jesus even made up a prayer that he became a wine! Ni said water become wine! Illogical that right? However it is, God brings us to the limit of our faith! He says, still working with water ... and at least God and did not notice the miracle.
"The master of the banquet tasted the water into wine, not knowing where it came from, although the servants knew who drew the water. Then he called the bridegroom and said: -All serve the best wine first, and when the guests have well drunk, then the less expensive; But you have kept the good wine until now.
"Maybe you feel that your life itself has color, smell and taste but pay attention to this, the manager says," you have kept the good wine until now. " Keep in mind that the good is the enemy of the best! And you can always be better! Remember this: even today God turns water into wine, but be sure that Jesus is at the party and do whatever he tells persevering, working with what you have, but do not see anything miraculous. Because at least you realize God and turned water into wine! ...
